Welcome to Mossca. These Terms of Use govern your use of Mossca on macOS desktop and iOS mobile devices ("Mossca Mobile"), together with related website pages and related support or diagnostic services. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Mossca, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Mossca, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the software, website, or related services.
2. App Description
Mossca is a local music player focused on high-fidelity audio playback, local music library management, music import workflows, and playback-related diagnostics across macOS and iOS.
Features may include, depending on platform and version:
- local playback
- library browsing and organization
- WiFi transfer
- cloud or network-based import workflows
- external DAC support
- signal path and playback information
- quality analysis
- diagnostic and compatibility reporting
Features, supported formats, compatibility behavior, and service availability may change over time as the product evolves.
3. License, Pricing, and Payment
Mossca macOS may be sold as a one-time purchase license for desktop use. Mossca Mobile on iOS may be distributed through Apple's App Store and is subject to App Store terms, pricing, and platform rules shown at the time of purchase.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the official pricing page or app listing, Mossca does not use recurring billing or subscriptions.
Pricing, feature tiers, product availability, and commercial terms may be updated at any time before purchase.
Payments may be processed by Apple, Paddle as Merchant of Record, or another authorized payment provider shown at checkout or in-app.
Refund requests are subject to our published refund policy, the applicable payment provider's rules, and platform policies.
4. Permitted Use and License Scope
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Mossca for personal or internal lawful use.
You may not:
- copy, redistribute, sublicense, resell, or commercially exploit the software except as allowed by applicable law
- reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works from the software except where such restriction is prohibited by law
- interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the app or related services
- attempt unauthorized access to services, systems, or data
- use the software in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights
5. Music Files, Imports, and Third-Party Sources
Mossca may allow you to import or access music files from local storage, WiFi transfer, cloud storage providers, network drives, or other third-party sources.
You are solely responsible for:
- the legality of the content you import, access, store, or play through Mossca
- ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permissions to use that content
- maintaining access to your own third-party storage, cloud accounts, folders, drives, or network locations
We do not verify ownership, legality, licensing status, or authenticity of the media files you use with Mossca.
Third-party platforms, storage providers, and import sources may change, restrict access, or stop working at any time, and compatibility with those services is not guaranteed.
6. Diagnostics and Support
Mossca may include manual and automatic diagnostic, telemetry, compatibility, or support-related features intended to improve playback quality, app reliability, route compatibility, and technical troubleshooting.
By using Mossca, you acknowledge that limited technical and operational data may be processed in connection with these features, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Diagnostic and support features are provided to improve the product, but we do not guarantee that every issue can be detected, reproduced, or resolved.
7. Compatibility and Playback Disclaimer
Mossca is designed for high-quality local playback, but playback results may vary depending on:
- hardware
- operating system behavior
- external DACs
- connected accessories
- audio routes
- file quality
- metadata integrity
- third-party storage or import sources
We do not guarantee uninterrupted playback, error-free behavior, universal device compatibility, or identical sound behavior across all setups.
Playback analysis, quality indicators, radar results, signal path displays, and related technical information are provided for informational and diagnostic purposes. They should not be interpreted as guarantees of absolute audio quality, device behavior, or file authenticity.
8. Intellectual Property
The Mossca software, branding, design, text, graphics, website content, and related materials are the intellectual property of Mossca or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, display, modify, or create derivative works from any part of Mossca or related materials without prior written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Mossca is provided "as is" and "as available."
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.
We do not warrant that Mossca will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, compatible with every device or service, or suitable for every listening environment or hardware chain.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mossca, its affiliates, licensors, service providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, content, business opportunity, or device access arising out of or related to your use of the software, website, support systems, or related services.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Mossca will not exceed the amount you paid for the applicable product, if any.
11. Termination
We may suspend or restrict access to related services, support functions, diagnostic endpoints, or license benefits if you violate these Terms, misuse the software, or create technical or legal risk for us or other users.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.
